Sven and I had a conversation about the concerning issue of Europe being the continent warming most due to climate change. He shared his disappointment in the lack of action being taken at the global level, especially in regards to Germany and its protests against windmills in Bavaria. I reminded him of the importance of every little action, like our decision to switch to LED light bulbs. We agreed that our dependency on fossil fuels is the root cause of environmental problems and that a shift towards renewable energy sources is necessary, although it would require a major overhaul of current systems. Sven expressed his frustration with the slow progress over the past 40 years.
